Establishing IT as a Platform for INNOVATION and as a STRATEGIC ASSET in Organizations
I just embarked on an ambitious journey, reading for my Doctor of Business Administration(DBA) in International Business Management at International School of Management, Paris, France (http://www.ism.edu/) to broaden my horizon which I sincerely hope will give me the necessary tools to tread the path that I haven't trod before and open new vistas for myself!

My research interest is "The Impact of the IT Organization and IT Governance Structure in establishing IT as a Strategic Asset and as a platform for Value Innovation in Driving Business Growth".

The IT GOVERNANCE imperative in STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT of BUSINESS and IT in Organizations

IT Governance is a very vital part of an organization which is an critical imperative, if a orgnization is to realize the full potential of IT and their investments in it. Fostering ENTREPRENEURSHIP and the application of Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) in VALUE INNOVATION

Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) is all about the simultaneous pursuit of Product/Service Differentiation and Cost Leadership, thereby creating a all new market for your products and service making ones competition irrelevant. This premise is based on the pure fact that there are no permanently great companies nor industries, but great strategic moves which would secure your position in the global marketplace. The basic building blocks of BOS is based on four action framework, namely Eliminate, Reduce, Raise, Create (ERRC), and the application of this to all aspects of your value chain! This brings us back to the famous Pareto Rule: Focus on the 20% that yields 80% of your results in what ever you do. Apply BOS to the identified 20% and you are bound to see results!
